The Midnight Ride of Sybil Ludington commemorates the heroic journey of a little known, 16-year old farm girl. She rode her horse Star on a daring night ride of more than forty miles in the wilderness of southeastern New York State to summon her father's militia against the invading British army.
The Teacher Spy, Nathan Hale portrays the remarkable courage of the 21-year old school teacher's dramatic capture by British troops for spying behind enemy lines. His bold statement, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country" became a symbol and rallying cry for American independence.
